This is what I read to Gail before the "I-do's"

All ye Ladies, Lasses, Lords and Pirates present here today

Shall hereby witness the combined intent for our future play

For play we shall as surely as the sun meets the ocean

As my lady pours upon me her spell and her potion

As free beings we do come unto this union from above

never to be held in bondage upon our love

Time shant sour our postulates nor sway our bond

For free is our love and forever of each other shall we be fond

Hear me now as it be truth only that I speak

These are not words for the mild nor weak

Power flows from my lips as I pronounce this woman-mine

And as such I betroth all that I am to her for all time

Flutter nor fly do these words upon this evenings air

For they shall echo into the hearts of all listeners who dare

For words be cheap only actions count for much

Mark me here ye who will, I shall redeem my words as such

Proud as a word but touches the grace that is my lady fair

I live for her glance, her touch, that sidelong stare

I say proud as it is that I am to be here beside such as thee

I feel but humble that thee should notice me
