As I removed more rot and wet plywood I finally made the judgment that I was wasting time scraping and so decided to get out the power tools and this is what was left of the forward house bulkhead.
Notice the section where the deck meets the house, it's a 2" tall fiberglass dam approx 1/4" thick. This is a very good barrier from water getting into the boat, however, it didn't stop the water from climbing up the sides from a tiny leak at the bottom of the plywood.
This was very cool of Mariner. The house is through bolted to the fiberglass molded deck from the frame inside!
The plywood is 1" thick Mahogany.
The frames got some rot. All this wood was sealed with Smith's CPES (clear penetrating epoxy sealer) and filled prior to new ply/glass.
